UNIVERSITY OF THE PARKS

With 20 plus national parks and monuments within a 5-hour drive from campus, SUU is the University of the Parks. Students may go horseback riding among the red rock of Bryce Canyon National Park, hike to the top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, explore the cool caves at Great Basin National Park, or go boating at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Located in the beautiful red rock region of Southern Utah against the Dixie National Forest and at nearly 6,000 elevation, SUU's campus provides a breathtaking setting. The campus offers an architectural blend of historic and modern buildings exemplifying a well-established, proactive, public university. Features include the famous Carter Carillon Bell Tower and the world-renown Sorenson Center for the Arts.

SUU offers something fun for everyone. From clubs to concerts to athletic events and outdoor adventures, students enjoy a full-spectrum of the collegiate experience. There is plenty to see and do. What's more, SUU's residential campus keeps more than 90 percent of students within walking distance, so there's always a friend nearby to join in the fun.
